A Spooky Layout

When we went to Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, as we were walking to the top of the road where the castle was - it was suddenly very cloudy and really eerie as we approached. I have been wanting to capture that but couldn't quite get the right paper - until I found this one from Creative Imagnations and added the grungeboard skulls which I covered with Adirondack Acrylic in Espresso. The castle is absolutely beautiful and magical but just for those few minutes was really eerie and spooky, hope I've done it justice !

A Couple of Pages

I made a couple of simple pages tonight with the Once Upon a Time papers.I've had these photos sitting around waiting for me to do something with for ages - so thought it was time I got cracking. They are quite plain but these papers don't need much added really as they are so lovely.

Passport for Getaway

Blimey where has the time gone...things have calmed down a bit now I'm not flitting backwards and forwards to hospital visiting in the evenings. Here's a pic of the passport I made to keep all the documents in for the GoGo Getaway retreat in a couple of weeks time, and some of the pages I have started- really looking forward to it. I can't believe how quickly it has come round.I've ordered myself a Bind It All machine after ummming and aaahhing for ages and as the passport needs to be bound - well I had to get one didn't I ! :-)

My Time to Craft Challenge

The challenge this week over
at http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/
is 'ribbons' so here is my effort.I'm in a tag making mood at the moment and decided to make a tag for a mini book I'm going to make with my initial on it.I inked the tag with red brick with a baby wipe, then stamped the keys with archival ink. I inked a 'Grungeboard' 'D' and then wrapped a tiny bit of ribbon round it,and stuck it on - then I put some crackle glaze over the keys to add a bit of texture and added a bit of gold dabber on the 'D' and round the edges

A tag and a card

Had a bit of a play tonight and made a tag with a 'Sugar Nellie ' stamp.I inked the tag first with red brick ink then stamped one of the new Tim Holtz ATC sized stamps over , coloured her hair with a Marvy le Plume pen then edged it with a gold dabber and glossy accents on her hair and pocket. Not quite sure if the tag worked with the glossy accents tho!
I also made a card with a one of my 'Magnolia Tilda'stamps - hope you like !

Birthday Weekend

Well, that's it now I am officially getting old ! Back to normal now after a great weekend away in the (rainy) Lake District. We had a lovely time and nice rest after being spoilt by work friends who decorated my desk and made my day and by other half who took me away and also had a dedication read out on the radio which made me feel very special! I managed one card this week as it's now youngest son's 17th so will be back crafting this weekend as I've really missed it..
