More Graphic 45

For the ATDML gallery this month we were given free reign to choose whichever papers we liked.
I decided on a mix of Marion Smith and Graphic45

One of the layouts I made was with the Graphic 45 Couture range. It's quite an elegant girlie range but I think I managed to make it work with quite a masculine photo.

I did a bit of stamping up the sides and along the top right with the Couture stamps  and a bit of fussy cutting as well.

It's manic at work at the moment as it's January and it's always pretty darn busy in an accountants,so there will be a massive sigh of relief when it's February 1st !

One of the proud moments of life in the above photo, he is now a teacher of 5 and 6 year olds and is enjoying it so far.

I hope all my bloggy friends are ok out there and Ruth's  fab idea of a blog tee shirt got me winging my way immediately to NEXT - but I couldn't find one at all - anyone out there had any luck at all ??
There seemed to be lots of tee shirts with sayings on but not the white one about blogging .

All for now and will be back soon and awake!!

Plain and Simple

I am one of those people who seem to keep adding a bit of this and adding a bit of that when I'm crafting, whether it's making cards or layouts. I always feel I need to 'just put something there'
The layout below is one I did for the November gallery over at ATDML using My Mind's Eye.
It's such a nice photo of my son and two of his friends when they were ushers I felt it didn't need too much faff and fuss. A group of them have all stayed friends since they were at school and it was very nice to see them all smart together being ushers for their friend .
How quickly they grow up !

Fame at last !!!

I thought you might like to see some of my recent  adventures ....

Along with Christmas, some very exciting things have been happening to me in Den's Crafty Land
I've been on a couple of design teams this year- one for a scrapbooking company called A Trip Down Memory Lane and one for a card making company called Aspire Crafts .... well - just before Christmas I was given the opportunity to do some live TV shows for Aspire Crafts. My first shows were on the 20th December and I must now apologise to my blog friends who didn't receive a card from me who very kindly sent me one - and also thank you for sending them.I was literally up to my eyes in preparation for demos and work and Christmas preparations...my feel literally didn't touch the ground.....

Anyway, I thought I'd post a few photos for anyone who didn't see the shows or who doesn't have a Facebook account ...

First up I was with Nigel, who was lovely - I didn't manage much chatting but did get through some demos without collapsing into a nervous heap!
It was SO weird seeing myself on TV when I got home and looked at the recording..
Next up was the same day with another presenter called Andy - he was also lovely and chatted a lot about football as I'd mentioned my men were mad on footie!
Andy was VERY tall !!
The day went pretty quickly and I settled into Christmas mode afterwards
Then I had a call to ask if I would do some more shows after Christmas !!

These are some of the samples I made for the shows- forgive the bad quality - I had to take them in bad light

and this time I was on with Leonie who was fab - we had lots to chat about as I've known her for a while. I felt a lot more relaxed this time too. I did another show with the lovely Debbie Shore but I  didn't manage to get a photo with her.
So those were my exciting adventures over the past two or three weeks.
I never thought in a million years I would ever be on tv - it still seems a bit surreal and I really wish my mum and dad were here to share it with me but it was grand and I hope to be doing some more in the future.
