Mini Book

I went to the Shefford Keep it Crafty crop today and made a lovely mini book using Teresa Collins die cuts, the front and back covers were made by die cutting a Grungeboard Christmas tree and covering it with a metal sheet and then hammering and heating it to make it stick to the covers which was great fun.

Nasty Yukky Flu Bug

So anyway, we arrived home and I was a bit sniffly with a cold, we went to Surrey to pick the dog up and I was feeling a tad ill. We only just made it home- and I have been poorly since with a nasty fluey sick bug which apparently is everywhere at the moment! Needless to say I am behind with Shimelle's class, so I will be catching up over the weekend. Here are some pics from our lovely weekend for now....

Back in the country and Journal your Christmas

Well, it's very late and we are now back from a great long weekend in Germany - we went to the Black Forest and it was magical. The past few weeks have been very difficult and to be away and have a bit of time was lovely. We were really hoping it would be snowy and it didn't disappoint. The snow made it magical and now I am raring to get going on my Shimelle class of Journalling my Christmas. My fabby kit had arrived while we were away so am itching to get started now...

Feeling Colourful

I felt like doing a colourful layout tonight, the weather is miserable and cold and as our new baby Archie makes me feel good and bright so I thought it only fitting to make a layout with lots of colour in it.

Scrap & Chat Star Book and others

We made a lovely little star book last week at Scrap & Chat with Carley which I hadn't finished, so I sat down yesterday evening and finished it off. I also had a play with the new Basic Grey card kit which was nice and easy to follow, and finished a layout I started last week at Keep it Crafty Crop- one of Dawn Inskip's designs.

I had a good day today and got back into the swing of things craft wise. I went cropping and managed a layout designed by Dawn Inskip and a made a couple of ATCs with some of the left over pieces. Our new baby is settling in very well and is a real little dear.I even think I might get on and do some more Christmas Cards soon.

The Good and the Bad

Every so often we have to deal with not so good things in life and that's me at the moment, sadly Mum passed away on the 22nd and life has gone by in a flash.I know it's not a nice thing to post but it's what my Blog is about- my life crafty and otherwise. Will be back very soon posting some happier things xx

Not a Mucky Pup

I took Annie to have a wash and trim today - doesn't she look lovely - shame about the sun in the car making a shadow but a lovely pic I thought.... missed taking Jess too but another hurdle over !

More Cards

Some more Christmas Cards- the Father Christmas one is with Teresa Collins papers - (I decoupaged and glittered a few of the Father Christmas heads, but you can't really see them ) - and the others are a mix of Fancy Pants Happy Holidays paper and die cuts and the snowman background one is Imaginisce ...loving the new season's stuff ...

A Couple of Cards

I felt like escaping when I came back from hospital visiting this evening, so I went up and made a couple of Christmas Cards. I think the papers are My Minds Eye but I'd cut the bottoms off earlier and can't remember now! I've also just realised that the Christmas word has fallen off the bottom of the tree card .... all going very well !!

Been Cropping

I took a few hours out today and went to a crop - managed to do three layouts which was great. There was one kit and two classes using the same papers and for the third I made a layout of me using a sketch designed by Dawn Inskip. It was really nice to have some time scrapping and feel a bit better for having done them. I'm going to have a go at some Christmas Cards in the next couple of days .... and I've just realised I've put the wrong date on the Portugal layout,it should have been Nov 2007 - oops !

Time for Scrapping

I lost my oomph over the past week or so as it's been a very traumatic time, Mum is back in hospital, Dad had an eye op which was a bit of a disaster but he's on the mend now and as you may have realised by my pic posted earlier that we lost one of our beloved dogs - which was not expected. Anyway - I decided after reading an email from my friend Deb that I should be doing some scrapping or crafting or something - the latest kit from Studio Calico was sitting in its box over on the table so I had a play with it this evening, and feel better for it! It's been end of the month time work wise too and that meant stuff for me to do at home, so now that's over I can hopefully get back to crafty things late evening again...

A Crafty Weekend

Have had a lovely weekend although busy, went to a class at my local craft shop and made some traditional Christmas cards and then today have been at the first Crop for Keep it Crafty run by Sue and Dawn where I did two layouts designed by Dawn. We have a very sick dog at home tonight, she's not been well for a week or so , I took her to the vet's last week where she was given antibiotics and now she seems to be much worse, hardly moving at all and looking very sad, I hate to see her like that so it's straight on the phone to the vet tomorrow morning.
I'm back in the swing of it all now craft wise and am aiming to definitely make my Christmas cards in time this year - instead of the mad rush I always seem to be in ! I missed Ally Pally this weekend too which was a bit of a pain but I guess I saved some money ! Oh and also back to some challenges too...
