Over on the DCM blog there is a little extra challenge to make a card using Lemon or Orange toned colours. I had a go at an Easter card using some old Basic Grey 'Urban Couture papers which I love together with a Penny Black Eggcited Bunny stamp.I also made a card (just for fun- not the challenge) using my lovely Sugar Nellie stamp and some of the K & Co Wild Saffron paper.
I decided to be brave and have a go at the Scrummy Stash Cafe's Blog Challenge- as I've had lots of their kits and am a great fan of them I thought I would give it a go. The challenge is to make something using just one shape so I decided to use hearts. I cut some hearts out of papers from their French Twist Kit then finished off with a K & Co die cut out of a massive pile I have of them.
Hel's challenge this week is to use a bird stamp - as the only one I have is a little owl I decided he went quite well with the Urban Rhapsody papers which just happen to have a big Owl on one of them-so have stamped the two little ones and decoupaged them to make it a Mother's Day card - hope it's ok !
Have had problems with my camera so haven't been able to load any photos on but thankfully all is well now (we lost the lead to upload the pics!!!) anyway I've had the 'Once upon a Time' pad from DCWV for ages and have wanted to use it for pics when we went to the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria so have done a layout of other half in his new hat - still not sure if it needs any wording though. I didn't want to spoil it.
My new Sugar Nellie stamp arrived today so I just had to have a play and make a couple of cards with her. These images are so cute.I used the 'Bliss ' kit from ScrummyStashCafe for the red and blue one and put glossy accents on the cutout flowers to try and define them a bit more and used the K & Co 'Margo' bits I had left for the other one. Might have to try some more tomorrow evening !
Hels has set her 2nd week's 'Sunday Stamper ' challenge and it is to make a card, tag, ATC or alter anything as long as it is black and white or cream and white - here's my card that I came up with.I haven't used this stamp for ages and decided she looked quite nice in monochrome- fab challenge Hels thanks. Looking forward to the next one.
Had a bit of a mixed evening tonight,I started off thinking about making a card for Mum and Dad's anniversary with the K & Co Smitten bits - there is such a massive choice of lovely heart die cuts in that range it's hard to pick one. I just love tipping them all out over the table & reefing through them ...I made another layout of our German trip too- I used the 'Bliss' kit from ScrummyStashCafe for this and made a card with the Basic Grey Two Scoops so all in all had a good evening - nice to be back to being 'crafty' again...<
