Bo Bunny Family Chipboard Album

I've had this bare Family album for ages and keep doing a bit here and there- so I decided to get to it and finish it this weekend. It's one of those projects that I really enjoyed doing and made a change - think I might get another one very soon ! It's also middle son's 21st birthday tomorrow and I picked the cake up - and of course he had to have a look! Am off to try and get a mini album made with some photos of his Uni year. Have had the worst headache today so hope it continues to hold off so I can get his mini album done.

Time Layout

Blimey - two blogs in one day !
Well - here we go,my first layout for the My Freedom class. I did a page for the inside first page too. It's the'Time'layout.By the way - the random orange button on the left side shouldn't be there!Yay,I feel like I've caught up a bit now..I'm loving the way Shimelle does this, she gets you to think about different things and then it all comes together - roll on the next few weeks !

Catching Up - Stop the Clocks

I've missed blogging a couple of promts from Shimelle's class, one of them was name a poem that has inspired you or means something to you. Well - not being really into poetry, the only one that sticks in my mind and actually had an effect on me was the one that John Hannah recited in Four Weddings and a Funeral- 'Stop the Clocks' that always gets me when I hear that and the way he delivered it in the film really moved me- especially as it was s fun film too. So that being a bit depressing, music plays a big part in our household and many many lyrics are very special. Here is a snippet of the lyrics from 'Melee' 'Built to last ' It's a great song and has really meaningful lyrics - a real singalongy song too.Am now off to finish my 'Time'and 'Travel' layouts - am loving this class.

I've looked for love in stranger places
but never found someone like you
someone whose smile
makes me feel I've been holding back
and now there's nothing I can't do

cause this is real, and this is good
it warms the inside just like it should
but most of all
most of all, it's built to last
it's built to last

now look, where we are
you're in my heart now
and there's no escaping it for you

cause this is real, and this is good
it warms the inside just like it should
but most of all
most of all, it's built to last

walking on the hills at night
with those fireworks and candlelight
you and I were made to get love right

Scrap & Chat

We did a workshop on inking techniques last night and was great as always. Am still not sure whether to leave as is or do some journalling on the page. I loved the idea of a button frame and you'll find me now going through all the wardrobes looking for stuff that's not worn anymore and cuttin the buttons off - good way to have a sort out I suppose !

Just a Card

Not much to blog tonight - I went to Scrap n Chat with Carley but the glue's not dry under the buttons yet so will post pic tomorrow- we got lovely and inky and made our own backgrounds with Distress Inks and did some stamping and we got to rifle through the button box- loved it. Here's a card I made last night using some Daisy D paper and a decoupage lady. On another note - when is it ever going to stop raining ? !

My Freedom

I'm a day late with blogging about the first prompt for the new class over at http://www.shimelle.com/classes/353/a-new-class-for-summer/ - The class runs for five weeks, with prompts at the start of the week about photos, and as the week progresses we cover journalling, and then page design - I should end up with a 20 page album,I've decided to go with a 12x12 album ( I think- keep changing my mind) I think I'll see what happens after the first subject and see how it goes. I've got a gorgeous Silky Aqua blue 12x12 album or an AC 8x8 so I'll see... The first prompt yesterday was to photograph time and travel, so here are my time pics.I haven't got round to travel yet. I'm really enjoying the concept of this class - it makes you sit and think about things and it's great reading other peeps' interpretations..
First up .. My favourite Clock- the Cuckoo Clock we got in Germany - see it every morning and makes me smile Second is the Church Clock I am always rushing past and looking up at in the morning to see if I'm late for work or not.
Then it's the clock on the wall (yep they all thought I'd gone mad at work takin photos of it )- Then the Fairy Clock in the garden..

Hippie Dottie and George

Had a play with the brand new 'Rock Til You Drop' collection of Dottie and George.I used some of the new Basic Grey Euphoria papers and some Distress Inks and some Rusty Pickle sentiments..

Back home again

Well, all went well, Dad is on the mend so I'm back home again. I decided to play with my June 'Scarlet Lime' kit and did a couple of layouts this evening and feel a bit more back to normal now. While I was at Dad's watering his plants I took a pic o f his Passion Flower - I haven't seen a purple one before and was thinking I might have to scrap it sometime ... shame I didn't think to block out the stick !!
