A little break in proceedings....

I've been awol for a while due to the fact that we had some time out on hols for a while.
So..am now back in the swing of things and in the old routine...
One of the things I didn't get to write about just before we went away was the monthly crop at Eclectic Keepsakes run by the lovely Karen
It was my turn to teach a class this month so I chose the gorgeous Prima Lyric papers
I wanted it to be a nice relaxing class so it was quite uncomplicated, just a bit of cutting out from one sheet, layering on to the other. Then we punched a butterfly and heart out and inked and stamped a tag for hidden journalling ( it's just peeping out the side of the photo)
We also used some dewdrops dotted about and some buttons and wooden embellishments.
I think everyone enjoyed it although it did move Ann to tears - not because she hated it but because when she started to journal about her nan in the photo it got her all emotional, but then I guess that's what journalling and scrapbooking is about - emotions and remebering the good and the not so good..

Here's Ann's layout - and a few of the others..

Chris

It was a good class to do whilst in the midst of all the holiday prep and working that was going on and i think all enjoyed it.
I've been playing along with Rinda's Photography Scavenger Hunt this year and have lots of photos so far,so I'll post those very soon.
It's good to be back
hugs to all x

Good to see you back! It was a great class and it's always fun to see how each layout looks different just by changing the photos or doing a little 'free styling'.
Looking forward to seeing those scavenging pictures!

It's definitely good to see you back! That sounds like exactly my kind of class. A bit of relaxing cutting? I'd be there if I could!
