Looking back

It's something I do every once in a while, just have a flick back over the past couple of years blog posts.
I always seem to look back to 2009 ish and then never go any further back than that.
Today I thought I'd go right back to when I first started my blog- way back in 2007...

I was much more of a card maker then, dipping into the world of scrapbooking once in  a while.
One thing I don't do much of now - which I was totally addicted to back then is ATC's (Artist Trading Cards)..I used to make lots of them and do monthly swaps and Christmas swaps and Easter swaps. Funny how you move on isn't it?
When I look back at some of the things I did then!!!..... Well,I liked them !

The other thing that strikes me is that I always felt like I was talking to my self as a little diary - just to keep online for me- but now I feel I'm actually talking to my  friends and interacting with them-much nicer!

Another thing too is that now I am a bit wiser about bloggy posting bits like sizing photos and blinkies and things-something I only saw on those really really good blogs. I always posted and hoped in those days! More often than not if you clicked on one of my photos it would be HUGE and I could never work out how other people got theirs so neat and small!!

All in all I'm really pleased  I kept going with blogging - it's just got better and better and I wouldn't have so many lovely friends now If I hadn't !

and I wouldn't have re-inforced an already strong friendship too.

Your cards look gorgeous; and I never tried ATC's, but I feel I missed out somewhere with that one! Especially as I love working with small squares. Oh I must come back another time and have a nozy at yours! scrappysue

What a great post - it really got me thinking. I haven't made an ATC in ages! And I used to be part of a monthly ATC Swap. And I hardly make cards anymore either. All replaced by art journaling and photography. Not to mention collage. The scrapbooking is a constant, though it's definitely ebbed.

Catching up!!! I love your 3x6x4 LO & how the B&W photo's work so well with the colour of the PP's..& those stamped butterfiles are just gorgeous!! You know I never really 'Got' ATC's, but I was a card maker too before I discovered scrapping...I just got fed up of giving away all my hard work!!! So glad you kept on blogging too!!

This post makes me smile! I'm another one who is really glad you kept up with blogging.

Carrie and I are attending a blogging conference yesterday and today. Last night we were talking about how "small" we felt amongst the other more "seasoned" bloggers. I decided that if my blog never grows any further than where it is right now I'd be happy with that - just because of all the wonderful friendships that have developed so far. I wouldn't trade that for anything!
