Yesterday himself went along to the bar to watch football 'a crunch game' apparently...while he was along there,I settled myself down and did a bit of scrappy stuff. Yep I did actually bring some paper and glue and sticky bits. I suppose It's that little bit of home. I finished a layout that I started at home using one of the Simple Stories new ranges.
The one thing that is really fascinating me here is the way the cacti are just growing wild..
I know - I'm odd- but when you think that we nurture them at home and seem to take such special care with them and over here they just grow by the seafront with wind and the elements bashing them. I'm a bit obsessed with taking photos of them.Himself thinks it's hilarious..
So- all good so far, lots of flower photos and odd ones of him and odd ones of me - must try and get some together.
It's nice to be able to do a little online diary of this to look back on later.I hope my obsession with the cacti isn't too boring- I suspect there might be a few cactus layouts when i get home..

Glad you're enjoying your break.
I really like the grid you've used on the layout.
Looks like you are having a great time and I think the cactus pictures are great too! Think the thing we don't have to make them grow over here is the 365 days of sunshine. Looks like a lovely villa. Bet 'himself' wasn't pleased with the football score!
A break is always nice, isn't it. That pool looks very inviting. Glad you had time to fit a little craftiness in too - I've never used Simple Stories, I'll have to check into it - I like your page a lot.
The layout about your dad is lovely...as is that pool area! It's amazing how things grow so differently in different countries..one of my biggest amazements here is that lobelia isn't just summer bedding, and continues to grow AND spread all year round!

I love the patchwork feel to your 'Dad' LO...I'm still in envy mode about that pool!...& scrapping AND sunshine?...Heaven!! Enjoy! :D
Scrapbooking and holidaying all at once? Sounds perfect! No wonder your page turned out so well, it just looks relaxed!
I had a day at home where I definitely felt busy doing nothing - I just couldn't get focused on anything and the day got away from me. The kids were both very content being plugged in. . . that and a little homework. Not a very exciting day for A Week in a Life!
