Today is decreed a 'me' day - they have all gone to football,so I've got a bit of Nigella on the tv - some old re-runs of Nigella Bites.....and I think I might catch up on a bit of hooky stuff.
I started this a while ago after seeing it on this lady's lovely blog. I saw it and the colours and design really appealed to me. It makes a change to do little squares as they grow so quickly- but OH! the ends to weave in are horrendous ...have a nice 1.1.11 wherever you are :-)

You so totally deserve a 'me' day!
Can't think of a better way to spend a day to yourself, being in control of the remote and doing something craft related. A good start to the new year!

Hi Denise! What a lovely surprise find a new follower this morning and to discover that I inspired you to start a red, white and blue crochet throw like mine. I, too, just love those colors and my inspiration was Elizabeth of "Creative Breathing" who had her throw posted on her side blog. I like to use the "join as you go" method of connecting the squares and I usually sew in my ends as I go too because I can't stand to have all of them to do at the end of a project. Yours looks just like mine! It's beautiful! I joined your blog as a follower and I think we will be great friends! Happy New Year!

We're having friends over later this afternoon for a crab feed. We're watching the Rose Parade (didn't get up early enough to see Manchester Utd. play).
