I followed the design pretty much exactly, but when I'd finished it- it just seemed so bare on the sides to me. That's why I like the Coredinations cardstock so much as it's just a little more than plain card.
Anyway - I decided to stamp some butterflies up each side with a Tim Holtz distress ink.Now I'm not sure if I've overdone it...
My few days away in Somerset seems eons ago now. Mind you - when things are busy and stressful and life is going too fast, I have a flick through the photos I took and immediately I feel better!
Now for a question - has anyone else got one of these in their fridge ??
It's ironic really as I don't eat chocolate because one tiny square would give me a migraine. It took a few years to actually test the theory but in the end I decided that it just wasn't worth it as the pain of migraine is too horrible against the pleasure of chocolate.I digress- years ago when I used to work from home- I would take the boxes of books back to the accountant I worked for and one of the boys was nearly always with me. They had a chocolate /sweetie drawer in their fridge and since then we have always had one here. A friend from over the road came in the other day and was gobsmacked at our choccy drawer ( always a sure sign when the boys are home - it's full!) She couldn't believe how many choccies were in it and had never heard of such a thing .....I just thought- hasn't everyone got one ? maybe not !!

What a fantastic double page Denise. Lovely photos.
Re the chocolate drawer - I would love one of those but unfortunately all of us are real chocolate freaks and I would be filling it on a daily basis! We do have a cupboard that all sweets from Christmas and Easter are put but whenever I go there it seems to have emptied very quickly and David always has a guilty look on his face. It must be a family trait as my sister in law's children have to hide theier Easter eggs and Christmas chocolate from her or she eats it!
If I had one of those it would never look that full and both myself and D would be absolute butter balls! Always very jealous of them though :0)
what an amazing layout - it's lovely seeing a double layout these days.
Errr, yes I'll hold my hand up, I do have a chocolate stash in the fridge, and a box in my craftroom, and a treat cupboard with crisps and choccies ...oh and a sweetie jar on my desk! ..ooopps, I think I may have a problem LOL
I'm shocked! No, not really! Despite me being quite a chocolate lover, we don't have anything like this in the fridge - however, I do always have a pack of snack size maltesers in the cupboard.
Lovely layout - you beat me to it this month!
We are split in our house between chocolate lovers and crisp lovers - I'm a crisp lover - so we don't have a drawer. There is definitely a layout to be made about that one though!
BEAUTIFUL layout, Denise. I love it.
As for the chocolate drawer: I'm not sure why, but memories of my late grandmother keep popping up around me this past week, and the chocolate drawer is one of them. Her refrigerator always had a drawer full of chocolate while we were growing up. Funny, I'm trying to remember if she ever had vegetables in the other drawer but as an adult I can't remember anything other than the sweets! ;o)
Love your layout - not 'too much' at all!
I don't like chocolate straight from the fridge, so ours is kept in the cupboard. The kids each have a 'chocolate box', a named tin in which they put all the chocolate they receive at Christmas or Easter so we know which is whose! We ration it so it tends to last for ages - I think they still have some Easter egg left....
I have to confess that pre-Weight Watchers, I did indeed have a chocolate stash in the fridge- now I have a mini KitKat stash!
Love your LO and don't think the butterflies are too much at all
Alison xx
Finally getting a chance for a good look-around, and I love all your layouts from the past few days. The one with the boys and the flags is very coool. But this post is my fave! I love two page layouts and will definitely go check out the sketch. The butterflies are fantastic! I am not even going to look at all that yummy chocolate.

Super DLO and love the way you've added the butterflies - good move.
I like the idea of a chocolate drawer in the fridge but I somehow doubt it would be that full - we do have a chocolate tin but also an agreement that everyone/anyone is only allowed one thing out of it each day! My SIl store her kids' Easter Eggs in the freezer - frozen chocolate takes ages to eat - yummy!
This is such a great layout and I think your take on it is wonderful.
