Sunny moments

It was so lovely to come home from work for lunch today ( as I do every day) and be able to fling the patio door open- leave it open and actually wander around the garden The sun was beaming away in the sky - and at the very same time the news was on telling of the terrible things that are currently going on in Japan...the power of nature eh? It really does make you feel a bit melancholy ( think that's the right word)..
Anyway - I grabbed the camera and just took  a couple of photos of the little hyacinths popping their heads up and the Christmas rose...

I did a Pergamano class on Saturday - we did a really lovely fan - as usual I didn't quite finish mine but here's the class sample that the lovely Liz had made. I get totally engrossed when I'm doing this - lots of gridwork and different tools -but oh my eyes ! - must be getting old !

Well, that's another Monday nearly over, last episode of Bedlam tonight...am looking forward to that.
I hope you've all had a good Monday.

The weather has obviously moved from us to you....a lovely Friday and Saturday....but back to dull and damp today...still....at least managed quite a lot of gardening while the sun was there!!!

A lovely sunny day here in Worcs. after a frosty beginning.

We need to think ourselves so very lucky that we don't live in Japan or any of the other areas of the world where they are having such dreadful forces of nature destroying their countries in one way or another. We may complain about our weather but nothing can compare to the tragedies in the rest of the world - it seems to be one thing after another.

Yes Denies I think Spring has sprung! I was amazed to be able to go out to get something from the car at 6 this evening and it was still quite light!

What a pretty day! It's pretty rainy and grey here today. Not much motivation to go out for a walk or run!

Nice photos Denise :) It's a lovely day here today - but we had snow at the weekend which was a bit strange!

We had that warm sunshine yesterday...wasn't it lovely to have windows open!! I was glued to the news channels on Friday but it all makes me feel so helpless & yes, melancholy too...but doesn't it reinforce that we should all count our blessings & not stress about the small things!

We've had some nice weather too, but unfortunately being outside doesn't agree with me!! I get hayfever, and every biting little beastie within a 10 mile radius seems to zoom in and attack me as soon as I set foot out the door :-(
