Kaisercraft Design Team 2015 Entry

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Kaisercraft products. My crafty style can be very flowery and layery which I think works very well with many of their collections.I also love the fact that there are lots of other products apart from paper within their ranges especially stamps which always stamp beautiful crisp clear images and gorgeous off the page products too.
I've not applied before but thought  if you don't try you'll never know  -so why not !
So....

First up I have a layout

I fell in love with this frame when I saw it and have actually designed another layout for a retreat I am teaching at with it. What I really like is that you can ink the embossed shiny parts on the frame to echo whichever papers you are using. This is using the All that Glitters collection and I've used Picked Raspberry distress ink on the frame.I also did  a bit of gentle splatting with spun sugar distress stain on the background.

I've also used the Kaisercraft All That Glitters clear stamp set for the two sentiments and separate little butterflies, together with the All That Glitters sticker sheet for added embellishments.

Next up is a Beyond the Page project using the Kaisercraft 3D  Wall Art Square Frame
I've used the Wunderlust paper collection as this is perfect for the photo I wanted to use in the frame.
I've also used Kaisercraft  clear stamps again  - this time the 'Sweet Pea' for the flower and banner  'All that Glitters' for the sentiment ,'Rocks' stamp for the background and 'Butterflies' ....for the butterflies!

I've cut various little sayings from the papers, inked the edges of the frame with Chipped Sapphire distress ink and also used a tiny bit of Treasure Gold on the corners of  the frames.

Thirdly - a Card
This is unashamedly blingy - typical me. I love pink and gold together so this combination in the All That Glitters range really appeals to me
I've used lots of items from the Ephemera pack here from the All That Glitters collection together with two of the papers using the pink and gold side of one. The pink oval frame is layered over one of the flowers and I've edged this and the Dream Sparkle Shine sentiment with gold leafing pen.
So there we have it - my entry for this year.
I do know there are a few of my crafting friends over here  who are also applying for a place so I wish everyone all over the world good luck but we are flying the flag for the UK  Kaisercraft lovers !

Graphic45 and blog meet up memories

Good morning bloggy people
I've been looking over my past creations and thought I might post a little collage of some of my Graphic 45 creations One of the layouts is of when some of us who met via Shimelle's online class all met up in all London. Was it really two years ago ?

Me on Monday

It was an 'oh my goodness how nice to see you after so long' catching up with blog/scrap friends, eldest moving his things back in whilst they look for a house AND after having a word with myself catching up on friendship squares kind of weekend for me..
Imagine my surprise upon turning up at a bi monthly crop to find my seat and who should be sitting right there next to me but 'Scrappy Sandie'  Lots of chat ensued and the day flew by.
Of course we had to have a selfie - I really hope Sandie enjoyed her day back scrapping,it was so nice to catch up.
So the other thing I did was to make some more friendship squares - apologies ladies but I really really am back to it now and there will be three more posted tomorrow

I'm joining in with Sian's me on Monday blog feature today - so I'm waving hello to her and all the others playing along too.

December in January

Happy New Year bloggy people. I find with there being so many ways of keeping up with people nowadays - Instagram-Facebook- Twitter. I don't update my blog as much as I would like so here I am to put that right.

I've got quite a few Christmas photos I want to scrap now so the other evening I set to and found my Graphic 45 stash
This layout is using the Time to Flourish collection - we had some great Christmas Crops in December this one being Ann's where we had a 'Christmas Photo Booth '

For the background I used paper from the 'Twas the night before Christmas' collection.
Some good old fussy cutting of a couple of Poinsettias and some sparkly sequins finished it off.
Here's another page I posted in the Facebook group in case you don't have Facebook that I made using Webster's Strawberry Fields (are you humming it?) They were so apt as my youngest son has just gone travelling for 6 months so the journaling cards were perfect
I used a star stencil with some distress ink to add a bit of interest - I just can't leave that white space! and die cut some stars too.
I hope you are all looking forward to a nice bloggy 2015 !

Bloggin/Journalling my December Daily/Christmas

I made my mind up that I really was going to make the effort this year and document December and the build up to Christmas
I actually did prepare some of the book in November so It made it a tad easier.
I thought I'd share some of it here
I used some of the Webster's Pages All That Glitters range for the front cover - I'm using a bit of a mixture for the book - mainly Simple Stories with some other bits from my stash thrown in
A certain four legged furry friend wasn't too happy that I was ignoring him and cutting and sticking so decided to stand right on the stool  I was using as a table right in front of me letting me know he wanted to sit on my lap!

My start to December was a really great one with some shows on Create and Craft - so I had to document those

I've been taking pics all the way through December and am definitely enjoying the more 'Project Life ' type of approach to it this year.
Will be back with more soon
Are we all enjoying the build up and are we nearly all ready ? no ? neither am I !!

Fun at the NEC with Create and Craft

Good  Sunday morning to you. I thought I'd share some photos of yesterday at the NEC on the Create and Craft stand
Sue Dindale and me did a lovely make and take  using the gorgeous Kanban Denim and Lace kit.
The tickets all sold out at 9 oclock in the morning so we knew it was going to be a busy time.
These are the fabulous cards Sue designed that we made

Busy working away
This young man was amazing - he does lots of crafting and was whizzing away !

All too soon it was over and tidy up time - every one went home with a goody bag and completed cards.
It was good to see 'our Leonie' and have a catch up

I really enjoyed it, I was really nervous but it went well and was interesting seeing it from the 'other side' !

It's a really pretty kit with some cute owls - right up my street !
I will be busy packing clothes and crafty supplies later for a retreat this weekend with Scrapagogo - can't wait!
